SHA-3 Submission Requirements

To be considered as a “complete” submission package (and continue further in the hash algorithm consideration process), candidate algorithm submission packages must contain the following:

• Cover Sheet
• Algorithm Specifications and Supporting Documentation
• Reference and Optimized Implementations
• Optical Media
• Intellectual Property Statements / Agreements / Disclosures

In addition, submitters may provide additional implementations to demonstrate specific properties of their algorithms. See Additional Implementations for further details.

NIST welcomes both domestic and international submissions; however, in order to facilitate analysis and evaluation, it is required that the submission packages be in English.  In addition, submitters are encouraged to employ the service of a technical editor to ensure the maximum clarity for their submission packages.
