Get Involved

There are a variety of ways to interact with us:

  • Participate in an NCCoE project as a vendor - Contribute your expertise, hardware or software to the reference design for a specific problem. We work on use cases, detailed descriptions of the technical aspects of a sector-specific problem, and create publically available practice guides that help other U.S. companies address their own cybersecurity issues. We also work on building blocks, which are example solutions that are applicable across many sectors. Watch the Federal Register and this website for calls for participation.

    • Companies must enter a cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) with NIST.
    • See an example CRADA (PDF).
  • Participate in an NCCoE community of interest as a user of our solutions - Provide information and feedback to help validate and improve them. Check our website for news about the formation of communities.
  • Participate as an integrator - Help customers implement our example solutions in real environments and provide feedback.
  • Provide components—such as hardware or software, knowledge or personnel—to our efforts to address intractable cybersecurity challenges through The National Cybersecurity Excellence Partnership (NCEP). NCEP is a formal mechanism for collaborating with the NCCoE.
