Edward Nyack is a Program Analyst for The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity Education Office (CEO). The mission of CEO is to lead cybersecurity education, training, and workforce development for our Nation to protect against and respond to cybersecurity threats and hazards to the Homeland. This is achieved through the implementation of the National Initiative for Cyber Security Education (NICE) and the National Cybersecurity Workforce Framework.
Ed is the Project Manager for the Cyber Competitions Project which works to first gain a well-defined and robust understanding of the cyber competitions, then align them to the National Framework and promote effective and efficient interactive matrix where students, government agencies, and private industries can search for cyber competitions that met their educational, employment or sponsorship needs.
Ed earned his Master’s of Public Policy with a dual focus in National Security and Transnational Crime from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Government and Politics from University of Maryland, College Park.
