Dr. Gurvirender Tejay

Dr. Gurvirender Tejay is an Associate Professor of Information Security at Nova Southeastern University, Florida. Dr. Tejay’s research expertise includes information security management, knowledge management, and technological and organizational change. Within information security, his work has focused on information security success, security culture, security strategy, computer crime, cyber harassment, security governance, information risk, and insider threat detection. Dr. Tejay has published 26 refereed research publications on information security. He has presented 11 research talks on information security at conferences. Dr. Tejay is currently serving as Editor for Special Issue on Cybercrime, for Computers & Security research journal. He has also served in the capacity of Chair and Program Committee Member for various information security tracks and conferences. Dr. Tejay serves as scientific reviewer for top research journals and international conferences. He has been featured on NBC Miami, Chicago Tribune, Gold Coast Magazine, and Miami Herald publication. Dr. Tejay received Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008. His doctoral work investigated strategic information systems security initiatives in organizations. He also holds M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, and M.A. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
