The NIST Privacy Framework Team is pleased to announce the release of the NIST Privacy Workforce Taxonomy, Initial Public Draft (IPD)! We welcome stakeholder feedback on the Workforce Taxonomy IPD by January 17, 2025.

NIST Internal Report (NIST IR) 8355, NICE Framework Competencies: Preparing a Job-Ready Cybersecurity Workforce, has been published. This publication describes Competency Areas as included in the NICE Framework, providing information on how Competency Areas are defined and how they can be used.

NIST is seeking information to assist in evaluating and improving its cybersecurity resources—including the widely-used NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and a variety of existing and potential standards, guidelines, and other information. Comments are due by April 25, 2022.

The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) has released a second draft of NISTIR 8355, NICE Framework Competencies: Assessing Learners for Cybersecurity Work.
