NIST has released the initial public draft of NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-82r3, Guide to Operational Technology (OT) Security, which provides guidance on how to improve the security of OT systems.  The deadline to submit comments is July 1, 2022.

NIST has published SP 1800-32, "Securing Distributed Energy Resources: An Example of Industrial Internet of Things Cybersecurity."

NIST has released final IoT-specific guidance (NIST Special Publications 800-213 and 800-213A) to federal organizations to support extending their risk management process to the inclusion of IoT devices in federal systems.

NIST’s National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) has released a draft of NIST Special Publication (SP) 1800-32, Securing the Industrial Internet of Things: Cybersecurity for Distributed Energy Resources.

The NCCoE has released a Draft Project Description on "Mitigating Cybersecurity Risk in Telehealth Smart Home Integration." The public comment period is open through October 4, 2021.

NIST has published NISTIR 8259B, "IoT Non-Technical Supporting Capability Core Baseline," to complement the technical abilities defined in NISTIR 8259A, "Core Device Cybersecurity Capability Baseline."

NIST has published a new Cybersecurity Practice Guide, NIST Special Publication (SP) 1800-15, "Securing Small-Business and Home Internet of Things (IoT) Devices: Mitigating Network-Based Attacks Using Manufacturer Usage Description (MUD)."

The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence has published a final Project Description on "Trusted IoT Device Network-Layer Onboarding and Lifecycle Management. This project will result in a NIST Cybersecurity Practice Guide.

NIST Seeks Comments on a draft white paper, “Establishing Confidence in IoT Device Security: How do we get there?” The comment period is open through June 14, 2021.

Draft NISTIR 8356, "Considerations for Digital Twin Technology and Emerging Standards," is now available for public comment through June 16, 2021.

The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence has released a Draft Project Description on Trusted IoT Device Network-Layer Onboarding and Lifecycle Management. The public comment period is open through April 21, 2021.

NIST publishes NISTIR 8322, Workshop Summary Report for “Building the Federal Profile for IoT Device Cybersecurity” Virtual Workshop.

Four draft guidance documents on defining IoT cybersecurity requirements--for federal agencies and IoT device manufacturers--are now available for comment through February 26, 2021:  Draft SP 800-213 and Draft NISTIRs 8259B/C/D.

Draft NISTIR 8235, "Security Guidance for First Responder Mobile and Wearable Devices," is now available for public comment through November 30, 2020.

NIST has released the final public draft of NIST Cybersecurity Practice Guide SP 1800-15, "Securing Small-Business and Home Internet of Things (IoT) Devices: Mitigating Network-Based Attacks Using Manufacturer Usage Description (MUD)." The comment period closes October 16, 2020.

A draft white paper, "Trusted Internet of Things (IoT) Device Network-Layer Onboarding and Lifecycle Management," is available for comment through October 8, 2020.

Two publications, NISTIRs 8259 and 8259A, are now available to provide cybersecurity best practices and guidance for IoT device manufacturers.

NISTIR 8294, "Symposium on Federally Funded Research on Cybersecurity of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE)," has been published, describing a NIST-hosted event from September 12, 2019. It also includes the meeting agenda and seven presentations.

NIST has released a Draft NIST Cybersecurity White Paper on "Methodology for Characterizing Network Behavior of Internet of Things Devices." The public comment period ends May 1, 2020.

NIST has released Draft SP 800-124 Revision 2, "Guidelines for Managing the Security of Mobile Devices in the Enterprise," for public comment. The comment period ends June 26, 2020.

NIST has released a draft of NISTIR 8267, "Security Review of Consumer Home Internet of Things (IoT) Products," for public comment. The comment period closes November 1, 2019.

The NCCoE has released Draft SP 1800-24, "Securing Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS): Cybersecurity for the Healthcare Sector," for public comment. The comment period ends November 18, 2019.

NIST has released Draft NISTIR 8259, "Core Cybersecurity Feature Baseline for Securable IoT Devices: A Starting Point for IoT Device Manufacturers," for public comment. The comment period closes on September 30, 2019.

NIST has published NIST Interagency/Internal Report 8228, "Considerations for Managing Internet of Things (IoT) Cybersecurity and Privacy Risks."

The NCCoE has release a preliminary draft of Special Publication (SP) 1800-15 for public comment. Comments are due by June 24, 2019.
