The initial public draft (ipd) of NIST Interagency Report (IR) 8446, Bridging the Gap between Standards on Random Number Generation: Comparison of SP 800-90 Series and AIS 20/31, is now available for public comment through December 20, 2024.

NIST has released the fourth public draft (4pd) of NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-90C, Recommendation for Random Bit Generator (RBG) Constructions. The comment period for this draft is open through September 30, 2024.

NIST Interagency Report (IR) 8427 is now available.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released the third public draft of NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-90C, "Recommendation for Random Bit Generator (RBG) Constructions."

NIST is proposing to withdraw Special Publication (SP) 800-107 Revision 1. Please submit public comments by July 30, 2022. 

After considering several rounds of public comments, NIST has decided to revise Special Publication 800-22 Rev. 1a, "A Statistical Test Suite for Random and Pseudorandom Number Generators for Cryptographic Applications."

NIST is proposing to revise Special Publication (SP) 800-22 Revision 1a. Please submit public comments by February 14, 2022. 

Draft Special Publication (SP) 800-108 Revision 1, "Recommendation for Key Derivation Using Pseudorandom Functions," is available for public comment through January 18, 2022.
