Description

Abstract. We usually know about thresholds as door sills: what needs to be crossed to enter a new space. In the cryptography domain, a "threshold" scheme also means a technique that allows for cryptographic systems to be more trustworthy. The NIST "Threshold Call" asks the public to propose advanced cryptographic techniques that should be considered in a process of public scrutiny, for subsequent issuance of recommendations. Come check our poster, to learn about the types of building blocks and other privacy-enhancing techniques that we'd like to see thresholdized. As a bonus, you'll know about the solid preparatory work that NIST has done, including reports, workshops, and external dissemination.
