NIST announces the public comment release of Draft Special Publication (SP) 800-167Guide to Application Whitelisting. The purpose of this publication is to assist organizations in understanding the basics of application whitelisting (also known as application control) by examining the basics of application whitelisting and explaining the planning and implementation for application whitelisting technologies throughout the security deployment lifecycle.
