Module Name
Covia Connector Cryptographic Module
Historical Reason
Moved to historical list in accordance with SP800-131A Revision 1 Transition (AES/TDES key wrapping)
Caveat
When operated in FIPS mode. The module generates cryptographic keys whose strengths are modified by available entropy. No assurance of the minimum strength of generated keys
Embodiment
Multi-chip standalone
Description
The Covia Connector Cryptographic Module provides cryptographic services for the Covia Connector. These services include but are not limited to pseudo-random number generation, symmetric and asymmetic key generation, data encryption and decryption, key wrapping, and key unwrapping.
Tested Configuration(s)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8 running on an Acer AX1430-UR12P (single-user mode)
Other Algorithms
AES (Cert. #1896, key wrapping; key establishment methodology provides 128 or 256 bits of encryption strength); KBKDF (non-compliant)
