Presentation

The Pitfalls of Threshold Cryptography in Hardware

March 12, 2019

Presenters

Marco Macchetti - Kudelski Group

Description

Joint work with: Karine Villegas, Claudio Favi.

Partial abstract. This presentation will discuss the interaction between side channel protections and high-speed hardware implementations; we will show that in some way these objectives are contradictory by discussing concrete examples. By deriving conclusions, we will state an important open problem, that we think must be considered in the threshold standardization effort.
