Description

This technical presentation will detail how ASSYST engineered ComplySyncATO to automate the Authority to Operate (ATO) process by natively leveraging NIST OSCAL. We will share our implementation experiences in transforming legacy, document-based security packages into machine-readable data. Specifically, we will discuss the architectural challenges and solutions we developed to map real-time telemetry directly into OSCAL formats and seamlessly exchange that data with traditional Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms. The session will focus on the mechanics of using OSCAL to maintain an always-on, machine-verifiable record of control effectiveness, transitioning organizations toward a continuous ATO (cATO) posture.
