  Physical or logical perimeter of a set of interacting elements, typically determined relative to the authorization boundary. However, it can also be determined by other "boundaries" established by programmatic, operational, or jurisdictional control. The system functional boundary provides the basis for the security perspective relative to all interactions and behavior with enabling systems, other systems, and the physical environment.
